Hey everyone! It's been forever since I've been back but I've been working on a ton of stuff for Uniquely College! First off, I'm in the process of buying my own domain and figuring out how I want to change up how it all looks. Second, I was just on spring break so I've got some fresh, relaxed mind from the Florida air! Lastly, I've been working with some other bloggers to create some fun new posts so check back to see the changes!
If you didn't know I started blogging in August of 2014. Yes, it hasn't been that long but it's been a little over half a year! It's seriously crazy! So todays post is a linkup of some advice that I've found from other bloggers! I hope this all helps everyone! Enjoy!

Hey everyone! I'm so incredibly sorry I've been MIA for the past like 2 weeks. I've had a ton of school work and stuff going on in my personal life. So today I'm going to just show you all a few pictures on what has been going on in my life. For starters, the most exciting thing is that it was my birthday on February 26th! And not just a regular birthday... my 21st birthday! I had a lot of fun going out to my first bar and experiencing the bar life! Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks!

Since the past few days have been beyond cold here in Indiana I decided to make something to help out my body. Soup! And even better.. Chicken Tortilla Soup! This is one of my favorite recipes to make and I love eating this soup at any Mexican restaurant I go to. This recipe was so easy to make and was absolutely amazing! I sometimes modify it a bit depending on what I can find at the store or what I have a taste for so feel free to switch some things up! This recipe is made in a crock pot which is one of my favorite things to use in the kitchen. Putting everything in the crock pot in the morning and then having my meal ready when I get back from class is the best thing ever!
Ingredients:
- 3 Medium/Large Size Cans of Chicken (I used fresh chicken breasts from the grocery store and cut them up myself)
- 1 Can of Green Chillies
- 1 Can Petite Diced Tomatoes
- 1 Bag Frozen Corn
- 1 Can Black Beans Rinsed
- 1 Packet Taco Seasoning
- 1 Can Chicken Broth
- 1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
Add ons:
- Any Type of Shredded Cheese
- Tortilla Chips
- Salsa (I used Sriracha sauce)
- Sour Cream
Steps:
- Put all the ingredients in the crock pot
- Keep it on low for however long you need! I kept mine on for about 6 hours and it could keep heating up even longer!
This was such a simple recipe to make and was so amazing! It really makes the house smell incredible too! I got numerous text messages from my roommates asking what I was making because it smelled so good! I hope you all get the opportunity to try this recipe!

Section Titles
Each chapter is typically divided into different sections with different main points. The great thing about this is that the section title will tell you what the section is about! Hello cheat sheet! While the majority of the chapters are about the same main topic, each section is about the different concepts that all refer to the main topic of the chapter. If you're looking for something specific in the chapter for an assignment, looking at the section titles will for sure help you out.
Bolded Words
Bolded words are there to make certain words stand out for you. This is the books way of telling you "this is an important word to know". These bold words are typically words or people that will be defined or explained later on. And to make this even easier, the definition is written out right after that bolded word! How great is that!?
Conclusions
Typically every chapter has a conclusion at the end of the chapter. This brings together the entire chapter in a paragraph or two. These are important to read because it wraps it up very briefly and helps you get a grasp on the main concepts. This will probably write out a little sentence or two about a concept or idea in the conclusion which can help you look back at that idea in more depth throughout the chapter.
Examples
Professors are notorious for using different examples on exams and quizzes. Knowing a bunch of different examples can help you with this as well as getting a better understanding on what you're trying to learn at that moment. Different examples can also show different aspects to the same concept and helps you fully know what they're talking about.
I hope this helps everyone with reading for courses as well as materials for various jobs! We're a little over a month into the semester and starting study habits now helps for your future!
